Supreme Adventure Ride

Pics of our Supreme Adventure Ride, 12 hour day, about 9 hours actual in-the-saddle time.  20+ miles in the most incredible high mountain scenery on the planet.  You may find something to equal it, but you will not find anything to beat it.

"...a grandeur that bludgeons you dumb."

We take this ride on a special booking basis.  We barely got through all the snow drifts on July 7, so this ride is generally only available from mid-July to Sept 15.   If you truly want a lifetime experience, this is it!  Just click on the pics to prove it to yourself, realizing that the photos just don't do it justice.

The most common comments on the ride are, "Unbelievable! Incredible!  Indescribable! Wow!  The pictures won't do it justice.  A picture can't possibly capture what we are seeing."

The reason the pics don't capture it, is that the incredible depth of the canyons on both sides just don't come out in a photo.  At the top, lunch spot, we are at about 9,000 feet and the bottom of the canyon is about 6,000 feet.  That is what makes it so spectacular.

Jonesy's comment;  "...a grandeur that bludgeons you dumb." (a quote from a Robert W. Service poem, his famous poems about Alaska, and how you just can't find words to describe it, so you just stay silent and drink it all in.)

Craig's comment;  "You can look all over the world and you can't find a more scenic magnificent view.  You may find something in Alaska or Glacier to equal it, but nothing can top it."

Nicole, age 17; Supreme Ride with Jonesy, August 16, 2010.  We went 21 miles and covered the ground in good time; two energetic horses--Ranger and Snickers--and two good riders.  We went on two trails that Jonesy had never been on.  Did some exploring and saw some terrific scenery and some challenging spots in the trails.  Had a great time!!

Greeve and Laura, from Chicago area, went on a Supreme Adventure Ride on August 9.  Laura is experienced with horses, Greeve was somewhat reluctant at first, because he was apprehensive, but had a great time and became a better than average rider on this ride.  He qualified in one respect, he had a horse wreck.  His horse stumbled and lurched and he was afraid it would roll off the steep trail, so he bailed out and went off on the downhill side and was running down the steep hill trying to catch his balance, in his stocking feet!  His shoes were both still in the stirrups!  All came out well and he laughed at the experience.  It rained on us several times on the ride, and was really beautiful some of the time, a minor annoyance some of the time.  We sat under trees to wait out the thunderstorms. Incredible ride.  quotes:  "Definitely on a Bucket List".  "The most incredible day of my life."  "A truly healing experience."  "This actually brings tears to my eyes it is so beautiful."  A few selected pics here, but you can see all of them and watch the videos on Jonesy's DropBox online. Richard and Sarah Shapiro, from Kansas, July 7, 2010: They just couldn't say enough about their ride.  Absolutely incredible.  To contact them and ask about the ride, email them at ladybug@ cjnetworks.com (note, I put an extra space in there after the @ sign, to foil the spam crawlers who are searching for email addresses online.  To email Richard, remove that extra space)
